In the six week EKG Pathway students work toward certification, in a career field assisting medical professionals with the identification of conditions and diseases of the heart. The core of the program is to provide training in the coordination, planning, and delivery of patient care through the administration of electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG) and stress testing. Course work includes medical ethics, legalities of patient contact, and EKG administration and readings. Students are provided options to prepare for and take the ASPTElectrocardiograph Technician exam and other National Certification exams.
